Most computer-savvy people know how to "degauss" their CRT monitors to reduce dangerous magnetic fields, and are now concerned that manufacturers of LCD "flat-panal" displays have omitted this valuable health/safety function. I've heard that putting LCD displays in a normal oven at 450 degrees for 20 minutes, once a month, will take care of the problem. Comments?

Dear Mark,
Your handy helpful tips are glorious, whoever said don't believe what you find on the net has found their new roll model. You should be nominated as the Onion's man of the year! If anyone's car ever breaks down in the middle of no where and you happen to be there they will surely be one lucky fellow. Good Luck with the rest of your future!

Mark,

Thanks for turning me onto GoogleTV! When things get slow at work an episode of ER or 24 can really spice up my day. Whoops, I wouldn't want my boss to hear that. Anyway, I look foward to watching more of your YouTube tutorials and learn more about the wonderful world of computers and technology.

Thanks,
Ian

Excellent tips, thank you for them. I expect to see much more out of you in the near future and I personally look forward to it. As for the Google TV thing, I have been going at it for a good 2 weeks, like you said it was most likely edited in some way by Google or the beta is over. There is no telling. On a side note I would like to see this website expand a little. How about a forum, maybe we can all share things? Anyway, my name is Michael and I work for an ISP, thanks for the tips.

Thank you Mark Erickson for the tip regarding GoogleTV. I have sold my TV to a hobo for 10$ since I don't need it anymore.

At first I was skeptical of these tips working, especially when other web sites deem them a "hoax", but I've changed my tune now that I actually try some of them. Free TV and an easy way to recharge my so-called "non rechargeable" batteries? Pure genius.
Thank you Mark Erickson!

Mark, thanks for sharing all your knowledge with us! I never realized that I could charge up one battery from another battery that is a different size. This will save me lots of money that is going towards my 3rd microwave!
Thanks again,
